Cultivating Deeper Connections with Horses, Humans & Nature – A Women’s Retreat
There is something magical about being with a group of women, choosing to accompany each other on a journey of self-discovery, away from the pressures and distractions of daily life, dropping into a sacred space together, relaxing their usual personas, and welcoming each other into the present moment.
Just a small group of women are invited to treat themselves to a long weekend of cultivating deeper connections with themselves, one another, and our herd of six horses, all while being immersed in the beauty of the New England countryside in the Fall. This experience sets the stage for a special weekend filled with camaraderie and connection.
Our days will be filled with:
- Meditation as we listen to the babbling brook and the wide variety of birds that greet us each morning
- Interactions with horses in their natural habitats and inviting them into ours. We’ll partner with them at liberty in the picadero and in-hand in our arena.
- Discovering what each horse is valuing in the moment and learning how to offer enrichment during every encounter
- Nurturing our bodies with mindful movement practices, walks around the property, stretching sessions, and joyful exercises.
- Healthy snacks & drinks will be provided
Retreat guests will learn how to communicate with horses in their own kinesthetic, natural language by exploring the world of Horse Speak, a precise equine body language system. Those with experience and those new to Horse Speak will practice asking and answering whatever questions the horses bring.
This weekend promises to open your heart and mind, relax your body, and nurture your soul. Horses are provided for this non-riding Retreat. All levels of equine experience are welcome—no prior knowledge is required. All you need to bring is an open heart, an open mind, and a love of nature and horses.
