Horse Speak: Precise Equine Body Language Skills

Senior Instructor Heidi Potter will guide students in their journey of learning how to  communicate with horses in their own authentic language. Participants will learn how to “listen” to what the horse is saying, and respond using Gestures, Postures and Signals modeled by how horses communicate with each other. Discover how to offer messages of safety and protection. Learn what is enriching to each individual horse and how to include it in every interaction. The result is creating deeper rapport, improved mutual trust, and all around calmer, safer, more enjoyable relationships with all horses.

 

This clinic is designed for all levels of Horse Speakers. Day 1 will be an introduction/review of the basics. Days 2 and 3 will include group activities and individual sessions in order to address the needs of each participants. Clinic topics include:

  • Self-awareness & how you affect your horse’s behavior
  • Going deeper with the meaning of the Horse Speak Buttons
  • Adding to your library of Gestures, Postures, Signals & Breath Messages
  • Determining a horse’s readiness and acceptance of doing what needs to be done, such as; Catching, Haltering, Grooming, Bridling, Tacking up, Cleaning hooves, Standing quietly at the mounting block, etc.
  • Stress-free Problem Solving
