Heidi is thrilled to bring Horse Speak to Playa Ponies in Nosara, Costa Rica, and invites 9 participating guests to join her on this amazing AmadorEquestrianRetreats! While the focus is on learning or practicing Horse Speak, the art and science of horses’ authentic language system, there is so much more to this experience. Here’s what is included:

• Airport transport from and to Liberia International Airport
• 7 nights at the Casa Verano, a luxury villa within walking distance to the Playa Guiones (beach) and just a short shuttle ride to the ranch
• Transport during the retreat to activities
• Healthy meals prepared by our private, renowned chef – 7 dinners, 6 lunches, 7 breakfasts, and one night at a local restaurant. Vegatarian, Vegan & Allergies can be accommodated upon request
• Beer and wine are included with dinner, plus 2 cocktail nights

Riding is Optional. Here are the Riding Activities Offered & Included:

• 4 days of riding, including a Centered Riding lesson, and 3 Jungle (Monkeys included ) & Beach Trail Rides. One jungle ride will include a trek to a local waterfall, a farm tour with a traditional lunch, and swimming with the horses in the ocean
• Centered Riding mounted and unmounted classes

Riders will be paired with a horse for the week and must be comfortable at walk and trot. Both English and Western saddles are available.

Riding is Optional: Non-riding participating guests will join all Horse Speak activities and the unmounted Centered Riding classes. They will also be provided transportation to meet the group on the waterfall ride day to enjoy the scenery, attend the farm tour, and have lunch. Accommodations: 

Private and shared rooms are included at the luxury villa of Casa Verano. Just steps from Guiones beach off a private path, this boutique retreat has it all, from pool to yoga shala, open-air rancho, and comfortable private rooms. Daily maid service and 2 times laundry are included.  The rooms are equipped with luxury mattresses, air conditioning, fans, and digital safes. The open-air rancho features a second kitchen and ample comfortable seating, complete with high-speed Wi-Fi. • Saturday:   Check in at Villa, Cocktail hour, Appetizers, Meet & Greet & Dinner
• Sunday:      Mindfulness Movement/Yoga Class, Horse Speak Session, Centered Riding Arena Lessons
• Monday:     Mindfulness Movement/Yoga Class, Horse Speak Session, Group 1 Arena Ride/Group 2 Trail Ride
• Tuesday:     Mindfulness Movement/Yoga Class, Horse Speak Session, Group 2 Arena Ride/Group 1 Trail Ride
• Wednesday: Guest Day- Rest and restore at the villa and beach or choose an excursion. Samples: Paddleboard, kayack, surfing lesson, zip lining, and more. Details of options out soon. Cost at the guest’s expense, not included in the retreat fee)
• Thursday:  Mindfulness Movement/Yoga Class, Waterfall, Farm Tour & Lunch Ride, (non-riders will be transported via shuttle to meet the group)
• Friday:       Mindfulness Movement/Yoga Class, Horse Speak Session & Beach ride & possible swim with the horses. (Tide/weather dependent. Non-riders will be transported via shuttle to meet the group.
• Saturday:  Breakfast & 8:00 am shuttle to airport

Other Trip Details:

• Arrival & Day 1 – We strongly suggest that you fly in on Friday, January 9th, and stay at the local Hilton or Hampton Inn in Liberia in case of flight delays or other issues. A shuttle will pick you up at noon on Saturday, January 10. First stop will be for lunch. Your rooms at the Villa will be ready by 4:00 pm. Appetizers and drinks will begin at 5:00 pm with dinner around 6:30.
• Departure – The shuttle will leave the Villa at 8:00 am. Departure flights out on Saturday, January 17, can be scheduled for 2:00 pm or later.
• Send in a copy of your health insurance card and passport, along with your registration. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the retreat.
