Deepening The Bond with Horse Speak® & Horse Agility ***Space for Auditors Only***
Horse Speak and Horse Agility combine to create this refreshing, fun and unique clinic opportunity. Join Senior Horse Speak Clinician and Horse Agility Accredited Trainer Heidi Potter as she shares the “Truly Authentic Language of Horses” and deepens your understanding of how to address what they value most in any given moment.
Horses are Provided: Learn from the New England Center for Horsemanship’s herd of geldings and take those lessons home to your own. Sorry, no space for outside horses to come in.
Horse Speak – Everything horses say to each other they say to us. Heidi will teach you how to begin “listening” with your eyes, and how to respond by imitating the language system of Gestures, Postures, Signals and Breath Messages that horses use in conversation with each other. Discover what is needed to safely and quietly establish mutual respect, deepen trust, help horses overcome trauma, modify undesirable behaviors, and reach the level of rapport that dreams are made of. A few basic “vocabulary words”, a willingness to listen, and an open heart and mind are all you need to enter the conversation.
Horse Speak will take your understanding and horsemanship skills to the next level. Whether you show horses, ride for pleasure, volunteer at rescues, are involved in the equine therapy field or simply love horses, learning Horse Speak will forever change how you see and interact with horses.
Horse Agility & Stress-Free Obstacle Play– Learn the sport of Horse Agility based on the International Horse Agility Club of England. Take your new found Horse Speak body language skills to the arena for some in-hand applications and fun. Learn how to keep the horse in the “curiosity” stage of learning, avoiding the “fear” stage as you navigate obstacles, work on connection, confidence and trust.
This clinic includes workshops in theory, interactive exercises with humans, herd observation, self-awareness practices, interpretation, and communication with horses at liberty and in-hand.
Limited to 6 Hands-On Participants plus Auditors. Early Bird Discount ends 8/25/24
